Our Story

Blue Skies ABA was founded by Behavior Analyst, Deborah Hodgdon in 2017 to provide in-home therapy in Cobb and Cherokee counties.  In 2019, our focus shifted in response to families of North Georgia driving more than an hour to get ABA services for their autistic children.  Our clinic in Blue Ridge is a physical representation of our commitment to providing quality in person services.  We have dedicated ourselves to training new Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Registered Behavior Technicians to expand the number of families we can help.

Our staff are local and develop meaningful relationships by working directly with clients rather than remotely through a screen.  We remain one of the few clinician owned, privately held (not private equity) agencies in Georgia.

Client Testimonials

I had the pleasure of meeting Debbie when we were in the early stages of figuring out if my 3 yr old son was on the autism spectrum. I was overwhelmed, scared and in denial. Debbie came to work with us and changed our entire family’s life for the better. She never got flustered or upset with my son, even when he was having difficult moments. For every problem, she created a solution. She designed programs to help my son communicate. She implemented systems to create structure and routine. With Debbie’s help, we learned how to support our son, and he began to speak, dress himself, make more eye contact and learn academic skills. He also learned to manage his emotions and sensory issues. My son was always excited and happy to see her. They worked hard together, but they had fun too.

We briefly worked with other ABA therapists, and Debbie is by far the best. Not only did she help my son, she was a massive support system for me. Debbie is kind and patient, empathetic and creative. She was always honest with me but gave me hope. She listened to my fears and let me cry and vent without judgment. She taught me how to reinforce positive behaviors, manage stressful behaviors and foster consistency in various environments. Most importantly, she taught me to lovingly parent a child with special needs and accept him for who he was. With Debbie’s support, I developed more confidence, improved our quality of life and decreased our overall stress.

Our son is now thriving at a private school, making straight A’s, participating in marital arts and has become an avid skier. We believe our time with Debbie was worth every penny and was paramount to our son’s success. We recommend her without hesitation to any family looking for ABA services and support.
